Under the patronage of the president of the Council of ministers H.E. Mr. Najib Mikati, UNESCO inaugurated its newly renovated Regional Bureau in Beirut under an official ceremony in the presence of Minister of Information Ziad Makari, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab, UNESCO Assistant Director-General Nicholas Jeffreys, UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Joanna Wronecka, political and diplomatic figures, and cultural bodies.
The inauguration was followed by an exhibition in partnership with the Lebanese Club of Visual artists.
